We met on a fateful study abroad trip to Granada, Spain in 2014. Our birthdays are only two days apart, and we decided to celebrate together! While party planning, we hit it off. We must have known something was a-brewing, because Elena assured Josh she was "low maintenance" (because she ordered a straight tequila shot), and Josh stuck around after his friends left to make a smooth move. Dance floor make outs don't always make for lasting relationships, but here we are!!!

We were in one of our favorite places in the world, Telluride! After letting our pup Teo romp around with a newfound friend, Josh (desperately clutching the ring) led Elena up a hill, even though he thought she would protest. Surprisingly, she didn't. There, Josh got on one knee. It was low-key and sweet and perfect.
